Shawn Bose, Deily.org CEO & Co-Founder
Shawn started his career as an entrepreneur when he founded the Cambridge Web Design Group in 1999 and then joined BigBad, Inc. to lead large scale web solutions for clients ranging from Southern New England Telephone to Harvard University. While pursuing his MBA at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin Shawn continued to contribute to the evolution of the web by interning at Pluck Corporation (purchased by Demand Media), one of the earliest companies focused on web collaboration through RSS aggregation and blogging tools and by joining uShip shortly after the service was launched in 2004. Shawn ran the Product Team and then moved on to leading all Global efforts during his tenure as well as serving on an Executive Team, that raised some of the first consumer web funding in Austin from Silicon Valley including Benchmark and Kleiner Perkins. The world's first online transportation exchange now serves more than three million members across six continents. Shawn’s newest venture is Deily, the first comprehensive platform dedicated to the collection and organization of all the world’s religious content online. He studied Religion and Archaeology at Bowdoin College during which he spent time excavating in the Mediterranean, traveling to temple sites across South Asia and volunteering at Mother Theresa's missions in Kolkata. He credits his initial interest in the broad study of religion to his parent's unique experience of growing up in the Hindu tradition in the predominantly Buddhist Myanmar, while attending Jesuit schools; and his continuing journey in this field of study to the many teachers, classmates and friends with whom he has continued to learn.
