The final push to prep the Lake Travis facility for camp is on April 21st! Rain or shine — this is our only opportunity to get the job done. We’re going to work for a couple hours, polish off a few cases, crash, clean up and go. We’ll be preparing the ropes course, cleaning the grounds and building getting camp ready for the kids. We’ll provide lunch and dinner, enough booze for an army, and some tools.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Garden/landscape rake (10+ needed)
• Work gloves and hat
• Shoes or boots (beware of fire ants and snakes)
• Strong back
• Strong liver
• Weed eaters, trimmers, hedge shears
• Sawzall; sledge hammer
• Swimsuit, pillow
When the job is done, we’ve got a full lake, kayaks, canoes, gaga ball. The event goes from 8am Saturday to 8am Sunday. A few of us will be there Friday night as well if you’d rather join us Friday night thru Saturday.
We strongly encourage all new members come out to experience our beautiful Travis Camp and get to know the other members. This is the best opportunity to step up and either start or continue to get involved.
